Why Vitamin A, Why Gradually
Most skin is short on vitamin A. Environ was built around replenishing it, because vitamin A plays a key role in keeping skin looking healthy and refreshed. But skin needs time to adjust to it.
Environ's own philosophy is simple: start low, go slow. Instead of applying a high strength product straight away, the STEP-UP System introduces vitamin A gradually, giving skin the chance to build tolerance before moving up a level.
Five Steps, One Goal
The system moves through five levels, from an initial introduction step through to a maintenance step once skin is used to it. Each level uses a slightly higher strength formula than the one before.
This is exactly why a consultation matters so much. Starting at the wrong level, or moving up too fast, is the most common reason people don't get on with vitamin A skincare. A stockist trained in the system will assess your skin first and set you on the right step.
Built by a Surgeon, Not a Marketer
Environ was founded by Dr Des Fernandes, a cardiothoracic surgeon who later spent 21 years as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon treating cleft lip and palate patients in South Africa. After losing two young patients to melanoma, he began researching how vitamin A affects skin, work that led him to found Environ in 1990.
